You will be responsible for day-to-day administration of a range of research projects within the Keele University Clinical Trials Unit (CTU). Under the guidance of the Trials Manager, you will work within a team, providing lead admin support for a number of research projects. Your duties will include general administrative support for the project management of population surveys, clinical trials and other research projects. You will need strong organisational and IT skills, experience of computerised data entry and an excellent attention to detail. You will be responsible for the organisation of research meetings and maintaining further development of the CTU’s Standard Operating Procedures and Research Governance Policies.

You will have a minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C including Maths and English or equivalent and an appropriate IT and Administrative qualification (NVQ level 2) or equivalent demonstrable experience.  You will have strong organisational skills and a highly systematic and methodical approach to work-related tasks, along with a proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people at all levels. You will be familiar and proficient with Microsoft Office software, email and the use of the internet, and have a basic understanding and awareness of research administrative policies and procedures. Experience of organising meetings and minute taking is desirable.
