Our client, a precision engineering company, seek to appoint an experienced CNC Machinist to programme set and operate a number a machines including bar fed CNC Twin Turret, Twin Spindle and Sliding Head Lathes. The appointed Turner will have experience in programming Fanuc controls and ideally Citizen Lathes.
CNC Machinist - Role and Responsibilities - Turning / Machining / Fanuc / Precision Engineering
*Programming, setting and operating bar fed CNC Twin Turret, Twin Spindle and Sliding Head Lathes. Fanuc controls
*Programming, setting and operating CNC Chucking Lathes. Fanuc controls
*Programming, setting and operating bar fed CNC Single Spindle Lathes. Fanuc controls
*Overcome any tooling and set up problems encountered when machining component
*Adhere to Machine / Department 5S and support Quality / Business Improvement initiatives
CNC Machinist - Skills and abilities - Turning / Fanuc / Machining / Precision Engineering
*Formal qualification in machining, with CNC bias, ideally apprentice trained
*Ability to program on and off-line using G and M codes and EdgeCAM and advantage
*Ability to use associated measuring equipment, mics, verniers etc.
*Confident with a positive and friendly attitude
*Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
