The post is a fixed term position for 18 months working 3 days per week (pro rata 22.5 hours per week)

Have you got a good balance of digital and people skills?

Are you a vibrant, creative and organised character?  Want to empower people to share their stories?

Then we may just have the ideal opportunity for you.......

We’re delighted to announce that we have funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund Wales for a Community Engagement Officer to run our ‘Loving the Lysaght’ project.

This feel good factor community project will reach 100’s of tenants and residents living in communities in and around Newport, South Wales.  It will involve working with local universities, schools, museums, community groups and local organisations to establish the impact that The Lysaght has had on generations from 1928 and right through to present day! Bringing the stories that people have to share to life.

You will develop interactive, fun and meaningful ways to engage people in sharing their stories of the Lysaght Institute and deliver projects that bring generations together.

Part of your work will also involve creating a range of digital outputs, editing and uploading stories onto appropriate platforms for all to share.  Your ability to engage communities  in a variety of creative ways through activities and events will be key to the success of this project.

Our ideal candidate will be an extremely confident ICT user with the confidence to create and deliver presentations to a wide variety of age groups and stake holders. It is essential that you are a clear and confident communicator with good organisational skills. A passion in all things past and present would be a real bonus.

This role will require a DBS check, this will be carried out as part of Linc’s pre-employment checks.

The closing date for this post is 18th November 2018 at 23:59.

Interview will be held on 29th & 30th November, location to be confirmed.
