One of our Home Counties clients is on the look-out for a budding and eager Junior Designer to join their studio!

Working with internal teams and external suppliers, the Designer will be responsible for delivering creative artwork solutions for both print & digital projects, from initial brief through to final artwork.

Tasks will include:

•Working across the full creative mix, you will be required to produce artwork for anything from press ad artwork, to outdoor large format and also digital asset creation.

•Pre-press experience would be an advantage as you will be organising files for print with marks and bleeds, setting up cutter guides and ensuring brochures paginate correctly.

•Creating digital assets for client websites and social media channels in line with seasonal themes or product sales targets.

•Supporting the Senior Designer in the creation of tri-annual internal employee magazine, including the creation of page layouts and illustrations.

•Liaising with Account Handling team and delivering artwork within specified timeframes, including press ads, social media posts and outdoor advertising.

•Working with the Marketing Manager on the production of marketing materials in support of targeted communications and new business efforts for our agency.

•Implementing timely updates to our website, including case studies, vacancies and improvements on functionality, in line with the requirements of the Client services director and the Marketing manager.

•Taking creative briefs and establishing action points for creative work.

•Supporting the Senior Designer at regular meetings with internal stakeholders, clients and relevant suppliers.

•Working with the Senior Account Manager to deliver creative marketing campaigns for schools and educational facilities, including the creation of prospectuses, social media content and newsletters.

•Assisting team members, offering design and technical expertise and continuously looking for ways to improve processes.

•Working with suppliers such as printers and photographers to put together quotes, create high-quality output and ensure all items are delivered on time to the client's satisfaction.

•Attending pitches with the Senior Designer and verbally presenting creative concepts to prospective clients.

•Creating basic Wordpress websites and maintaining these over their required lifecycle.

•Act as a brand guardian - maintaining and excellent knowledge of brand guidelines of our client portfolio, collating up-to-date information in asset files.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

•A relevant degree and minimum 1 year creative experience within a studio or agency environment.

•Strong creative skills proven with a current portfolio.

•Solid and up-to-date experience of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, plus basic video editing).

•Knowledge of basic HTML and ability to make updates to websites.

•Experience of creating digital artwork/assets, social media content and HTML emails.

•Extensive experience of taking briefs and ability to formulate action points as a result of findings.

•Expert eye for detail to ensure work is error free, accurate and conforms to brand guidelines.

•Ability to manage several projects at a time, ensuring that internal stakeholders and clients expectations are managed at all times.

•Used to working to tight schedules and deadlines, with the ability to accommodate last minute requests - prioritising conflicting deadlines.

• Strong visual sense and a creative mind-set.

•Proactive in troubleshooting issues and proactive in the acquisition of new skills.
