Come and join Royal Voluntary Service on their new private sites venue fundraising team in Cardiff. Become a Fundraiser and change lives.
Job Title: Private Sites Fundraiser
The role: To recruit long term committed supporters through Direct Debit donations in venues ensuring that fundraising KPI's are met. No previous experience in face to face fundraising is needed as full training is provided.
Location: Cardiff and surrounding area - based out of the RVS head office: Beck Court, Cardiff Gate Business Park, Cardiff, CF23 8RP
A car would be desirable.
Accountable to: Privates Sites Team Leader
Salary: Starting at GBP8.50 per hour rising to GBP9.00 following a 1 month probation with the potential for further increase dependant on results and commitment - There is some flexibility based on experience.
This is not a commission based role.
Hours: 37 hours per week average (can vary depending on fundraising location)
Leave: 28 Days

About Royal Voluntary Service
Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) was founded in 1938. Initially formed to help recruit women into the air raid precautions movement assisting civilians during and after air raids, over time this has grown to become one of the largest volunteer organisations in the country. Our 25,000 volunteers help older people stay active, independent and able to continue to contribute to society. As a charitable organisation with big plans for the future it is vital that their fundraising is sustainable in the long term to be able to fully support on-going projects amidst ongoing public funding cuts.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is currently a Fundraiser who wants to move to an in-house operation where they will get a chance to help shape a new operation. We are equally looking for someone who hasn't been a Fundraiser before but wants to use their natural story-telling ability, their personable personality, their ability to build a rapport with strangers, their relationship building ability and their desire to want their time at work to count for something more meaningful, to raise much needed donations for this incredible charity.
No one should feel that they are obsolete and irrelevant as they grow older and no one should feel lonely and not no where to turn. Your work will improve the lives of people who feel forgotten and will combat loneliness felt by so many. You will be the reason why our beneficiaries feel relevant and part of the community again.
In-house Private Sites Fundraising
After previously working in partnership with agency providers for a number of years RVS has taken the exciting step of setting up it's own in-house team. Working exclusively in Private sites, starting in Cardiff and with an ambition for growth this is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join the team and help shape this new operation. As the team becomes established there will also be opportunity for progression within existing and new roles and the chance to test new sites for the team to potentially expand into.
