Our client is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of glass and glazing systems in three business areas: Architectural, Automotive and Technical Glass.

Their mission is to be the global leader in innovative high performance glass and glazing solutions, working safely and ethically. 

They are now looking to recruit a Product Identification Project Manager to join them on a fixed term contract for 12 months at their Redditch site.

The role is responsible for delivering the best in market for number plate/VIN number look up. The team have started working with data suppliers to go from the VIN/Registration number to the specific make and model and the exact code, the team now need a better systematic approach and identify and develop data provider to supply the best data. To continue progress on this matter, the role will manage a specific team to construct the process for part identification.

Within the role you will manage and give direction to a team of Product and Data Analysts, implementing agreements with the External Data provider with Procurement support and defining a systematic approach for product identification and maintenance of relevant Data such as OES codes.  Reviewing Data providers strength and helping to improve the VIN/Number plate look up process, you will discover new approaches to product identification for AGR and provide guidance on how to present the VIN/Number plate service within internal and external front end.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and a structured approach to planning and a hands on, action centred approach is a prerequisite. Good communication skills across all levels are required and you will also have good experience in Project Management and/or Product Management as well as knowledge of the Aftermarket Business.  Please note that some international travel will be required in the role.
