We are currently looking for a Senior Quality Control Scientist to join a leading Cell and Gene Therapy company based in the Stevenage area. As the Senior Quality Control Scientist you will be responsible for management of external contracted partner laboratories, QC input and Project Teams.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Senior Quality Control Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. You will develop the overall QC strategy for Specific Projects and Programmes through to commercial phase and contribute to the development of QC procedures and policies.
2. Your role will involve driving analytical method transfer, development and validation of in vivo and in vitro applications. You will further lead the analytical sub-team of clinical phase project.
3. As the Senior QC Scientist you will be involved in specification approval, stability testing, analytical trending and QC oversight of projects/programmes.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Quality Control Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant Degree, Masters or PhD in a Biological Sciences related disciple and industry experience in Analytical Sciences / Services within the field of Biotechnology, Biopharmaceuticals, Vaccines or Research.
2. Extensive experience in Biological Assay applications within a GMP environment is essential. Analytical methods such as, but not limited to:
- Immunoassay's
- Proteomics
- Cell Culture
- Large or Small Molecule Analysis
3. Experience within Quality Control and Bioanalysis method development and validation as well as maintenance of data integrity, computer systems validation, equipment procurement and qualification is essential to your application.
4. Experience in the field of viral gene therapy would be beneficial to your application.
