Job Description
The Role
Are you an experienced MI Analyst? Do you have a passion for looking behind the data and making business recommendations? Do you thrive in an environment that challenges your analytical abilities?
This role is part of a wider Centre Desk team that is core to delivering our Shared Service Centre's (SSC) strategic business plan. It will promote and champion using effective data analysis to inform business change, process improvement and process simplification. You will work with a wide variety of stakeholders across the business, helping them to understand the data that they have and the data that they will need for the future to ensure continuous improvement.
The role will also form part of the CAA's wider initiative to create, implement and maintain effective data standards across the organisation - supporting CAA's aspiration to become a better regulator and improve choice and value for customers.
This is an exciting time to join an organisation as it continues its ISO, ITIL and report standards

About You
- You're a credible and pragmatic MI Analyst who has a solid understanding of SQL.
- You can both manipulate and refine established queries and reports as well as creating new ones.
- You have demonstrated real business value through your analysis and are comfortable providing challenge and expert advice on the shape and format of reports.
- You have a good track record of being able to provide quality commentary and report outcomes.
- You're a confident communicator who can help non-IT colleagues express their requirements and translate these to usable reporting tools.
- You're motivated by new technology and promoting new ways of working (Power BI is desirable, not essential.)
