Our Client is an award winning Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy who provide a range of environmental and sustainability services across different sectors and clients.
They are now looking to recruit a versatile, self-motivated and competent Senior Ecologist with consultancy experience to join their team in London. The position provides the opportunity to work on a wide range of interesting and typically high profile projects throughout the UK.
The duties will involve the following:
Leading and delivering ecological project work such as: protected species and habitat surveys
Appraisals and impact assessments for development proposals; biodiversity planning strategies; ecological management plans; and green infrastructure design advice
Candidates must have the ability to communicate ecological principles and concepts to a range of technical and non-technical audiences, including clients, design teams and other consultants.
The successful candidate will have;
- 4+ years of professional experience;
- Relevant degree
- CIEEM Membership
- Excellent report writing skills
- Available to work flexible hours to support on ecology surveys
- Sound knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy;
- Experienced in ecological surveying, particularly for bats, GCN and reptiles;
- A European protected species licence for bats and experience with EPSM licence preparation and delivery (desirable)
