Duty Manager
This Social Enterprise provides a range of diverse cultural, sporting and physical activities throughout East Devon and South Somerset, with a current base of 12,000+ members.
They are seeking to recruit a Duty Manager to join their dynamic organisation at a time of significant change and growth.

Your hours of work will be flexible, working 37 per week, including weekends, evenings and public holidays
Job purpose
To support the Manager to achieve the safe, efficient and effective management of Exmouth Tennis & Fitness Centre (ETFC).
Key activities
- To manage the financial and HR related tasks at the centre.
- To support the accreditation of Quest by leading at least one module team.
- Deputise for the Manager in her/his absence.
- Assisting the Manager with the development of a comprehensive programme of use.
- Supervise the use of facilities by organisations and individuals, ensuring that high standards of safety are maintained for both customers and coaching staff.
- Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times.
- Be proactive with the monitoring and reviewing of day to day operations.
- Be responsible for the supervision of reception and other Centre assistants.
- Cover reception & catering duties as required.
- Be responsible for the management of First Aid and Emergency action during the Centre's opening hours.
Essential attributes
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience within a leisure/gym environment
- Duty Management experience
- I. competent
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation within the leisure industry
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
- Excellent communication skills
- Full driving licence and own transport

- Leisure Management Qualification
- Current First Aid Qualification
