Residential Field Technicians - Crawley

Hours of work - 3 week rotational shift pattern, 37.5 hours a week comprising of X3 10hr shifts and X1 7.5hr shift.

We have a number of Residential Field Technician roles which are open to men and women. We are encouraging women, in particular, to apply by launching this programme.

Traditionally, our Field Tech positions have been more male-dominated. Therefore, it's super important for us to reflect the communities that we serve - not just for Field Technicians but also for STEM roles in general and this is just the beginning.

That's why we're having an honest chat with any females who are looking for a new challenge. Right now, we've got loads of great men on our field tech team, and our ambition is to have loads of great women on that team too! It's all about getting the best from a diverse workforce and encouraging more women to bring their skills to more tech-based roles, which is why we're looking for proactive tech-lovers to join us as Residential Field Technicians.

So what is a Residential Field Technician? They're the people who go into customers' homes to install and repair our products, sharing advice and tips on how to get the very best out of those products. Bringing the unexpected to our customers, you'll ensure they feel happy with the service you're providing and you'll go the extra mile to make sure they like Virgin Media just as much as you do.

You'll have great communication skills, and if you have some customer-facing experience that would be an added bonus. We need people who can take a logical approach to diagnostics, with a proactive approach to getting the job done. You'll need to be comfortable using hand and power tools, and have an interest in technology such as smartphones, tablets and PC's. Our technicians work in all weather and at various heights so being comfortable with these aspects is a must. You'll also be driving one of our vans, so a driving license is essential.
