Estates Services Assistant

Salary: £17,090 per annum, plus excellent benefits

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week: Monday to Friday with optional weekend overtime

Contract: Permanent

Location: Exeter

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Estates Team, voted as the ‘Team of the Year’ by colleagues during our most recent staff awards ceremony.  In this role you would be responsible for assisting our customers in a variety of ways, such as setting up classrooms for exams and open events or moving and storing furniture.  You would also be responsible for providing a professional postal service which includes sorting the post, as well as delivering it to all our College sites. 

Another aspect of the role will be to carry out minor repairs and general maintenance work.  It is also the responsibility of this role to ensure that the College’s security is maintained and so locking/unlocking buildings, patrols and the operation of CCTV and testing fire alarms is part of the role.

You will have relevant work experience and good interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work flexibly within a team. You will have the ability to move goods and equipment in accordance with manual handling guidelines. 

A full driving license is essential as you will need to drive a College vehicle as part of the role.
