HRLife are working with a highly successful COO who is now looking for a VP of Talent Acquisition to support this cutting-edge Technology business with their ambitious growth plans across the globe. Our client is a recent start-up in the software space and already has an impressive track record. Working collaboratively with the COO and the management team you will ensure Talent Acquisition supports the business strategy in recruiting the best Talent in the market. Given this is their first dedicated hire in recruitment, you will have the opportunity to shape and create their talent acquisition offering from designing and implementing their recruitment strategy to creating a market-leading employer brand. This role offers both strategic and hands-on elements but ultimately this is a role in which you can influence, create and build. * Design, embed and implement a robust recruitment strategy in line with the growth of the business and the challenges of the industry * Develop talent strategies to identify, attract, and recruit top talent through a variety of avenues, using industry best practices * Provide strategic insights, including key recruitment metrics * Prepare and review the recruitment budget, forecasting hiring needs based on business growth plans. * Collaborate with hiring managers to access hiring needs, challenge and compare hiring needs to financial forecasts and advise on approach in the market * Sourcing potential candidates using direct recruitment methods to drive a direct hiring model that reduces hiring costs and reduces the use of recruitment agencies * Develop and establish a pipeline of candidates through direct sourcing, networking and participation in relevant job fairs or events to help boost the business' reputation and recruit first class talent * Represent the business as an 'employer of choice' at all times and manage the Candidate Experience in line with this * Design and implement best in class interview and selection procedures. * Provide guidance to line managers on visa, industry or benchmark salaries and relevant employment law associated with recruitment Communication will be key and we are looking for strong stakeholder management and that ability to deliver insights at board level in a compelling way. Given the nature of the role, networking expertise and a track record of developing and nurturing external relationships will be pivotal to the success of the role. Experience of working in a growth, fast-paced business is a must, as is industry experience in the technology / software sector. In addition, you will have a background in and understanding of: * Good working knowledge of UK/EU employment law and practices * Knowledge of talent acquisition trends and best practice * Strong reporting and analysis skills * Able to coach and train line managers in recruitment processes and practices * Able to lead and develop an effective and highly efficient team * Demonstrable experience managing full-cycle recruiting and employer branding initiatives * Solid understanding of sourcing techniques and tools * Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and HR databases
