Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) is the UK’s first tenant and employee co-owned mutual housing society, with 13,000 homes throughout the local area.

By working together we provide better places for our members, tenants and employees to live and work.  Drawing on the area’s rich co-operative heritage, our pioneering model places members at the heart of decision-making, allowing everyone to enjoy a sense of security and belonging in places we make great together.

We have a new and exciting role created to support delivery of our new strategy in relation to skills, employment and training.

As our Work and Skills Coordinator you will proactively design, deliver and coordinate a range of projects to support our tenants and local residents to access training and employment opportunities - both within RBH and with our partners.

Passionate and resourceful in your approach you will strive to coordinate projects effectively and bring creativity to them by achieving engagement with community through communication.

You’ll have knowledge and experience of the work and skills environment, particularly in supporting people to overcome barriers to work. You will work in partnership with quality employers across Rochdale and Greater Manchester to increase the number of job opportunities available to our tenant members and people living in our communities.

If you have a proven track record within this field, strong interpersonal and influencing skills, and an ability to build connections, then we’d love to hear from you.

We expect you to adopt our values of Responsibility, Equity, Democracy, Pioneering, Open & Honesty, Caring and Pioneering whilst undertaking your role, but in return you will receive a range of fantastic benefits.

You also have the opportunity to become a member of the UK's first tenant and employee co-owned mutual housing society, which means you have a chance to contribute to many of the decisions made!

Please note, interviews and assessment centres have been scheduled to take place on 28th November  2018 and therefore candidates should keep this date free in their diaries to enable them to attend if shortlisted.

Closing date: 12th November 2018 at midnight
