Job Description Our client is based in Wokingham, Berkshire and due to growth they currently have a requirement for additional support within their general ledger team. The EMEA GL accounting team provides support for the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions of the business. You will support the Accounting Supervisor through the completion of a range of general accounting tasks relevant to the provision of accurate and timely month end reports for a variety of divisional entities within the EMEA region. This will require liaison with the wider accounting team and with personnel at senior levels within the EMEA region and US.
The main duties will be -
*Processing of inter-company charges
*Posting of payments from the bank account.
*Processing of month end journal entries
*Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
*Preparation of month end journal files.
*Assisting in the provision of information to internal/external audit
*Assisting in the provision of information to head office.
*Liaison with the EMEA Tax and Statutory Reporting team as required
*Ad hoc duties.
The ideal candidate will already have a strong understanding of general accounting and you will be studying towards a professional qualification. You will have a good level of excel skills and excellent communication skills.
