Relief hours - will fluctuate
Hourly pay circa GBP9.40 (in addition to annual leave pro-rata)
Adecco Cheltenham are currently seeking experienced Chauffeurs with emergency service experience on behalf of our prestigious client who are a public sector organisation. The Chauffeur will be responsible for providing a driving service to executive individuals of the organisation, ensuring that engagements across the country are attended in a safely and timely manner whilst overseeing day-to-day maintenance of their vehicle.
Please note that this is a relief position where your service will be requested for as and when required by the executive employees - therefore there is no standard amount of hours you can expect to work. Our client operates on a bank staff basis, so there should be flexibility concerning other commitments which affect your availability.
Duties of the role:
* Ensuring that the executives attend all functions and commitments on time and in a safe manner.
* Planning of journey and route times to ensure effective time management and safety provided to the executives, providing updates of any route changes as necessary.
* Undertaking general maintenance of all executive vehicles to ensure road-worthiness is upheld, reporting faults as required.
* Covering local and national requirements.
Applicant Requirements:
* Possession of a full UK Driving license is essential for this position.
* Successful completion of 'standard' driving license qualification in addition to professional driving experience is required.
* Proven geographical knowledge of Gloucestershire.
* Through understanding of Highway Code and road traffic legislation.
* Ability to demonstrate logical thinking, integrity and confidentiality in approach to work.
* Proven understanding of emergency procedures (including the use of blue lights) is required.
* Ability to make quick and justified decisions to ensure safe and timely arrivals.
