Job Description- Production Technician
Overview-Purpose of the Role
Scanna is a UK company specialising in the manufacture of portable x ray and mail screening systems for the Defence and Security Market. It is seeking a Production Technician at its Shrivenham (Swindon) location to assemble and test, portable x ray equipment and floor standing x-ray machines.
Overview-Detail. Working within a small group, the ideal candidate will have an electrical, electronics, software, assembly background. Ideally, they will have experience of assembling/testing electrical and electronic equipment for military customers or a background in electronic/electromechanical assembly and test.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble x-ray and electronic systems.
Test x-ray and electronic systems Load software on laptops Complete assembly documentation Troubleshooting of non-working assemblies Writing Assembly procedures and keeping them up to date Other production tasks as demeed appropriate by line manager/supervisor within the Production Group
Knowledge of electronic assembly is a distinct advantage as is a background in production. Key qualities, Good Communicator (Written and Oral), good team player, works well unsupervised. Understanding of technical data, ability to organise and co-ordinate.

- IT literate (XL, Word)
