A bit about us

We pride ourselves on working with brilliant people who put our customers at the heart of everything they do.
About the area you'll be working in
From Finance and IT, to Marketing and People (HR) our support functions are the backbone of our UK operations. We may not deal directly with our customers, but we play an absolutley vital role in making sure that our customer-facing teams get all the support they need to deliver the very best service.
What you'll be doing
As an Employment compliance consultant you will supervise a team of advisors to deliver end to end processes, necessary reporting and communication for all employment screening. You would be incorporating new recruits, internal promotions and appointments and in-life checks, including the conflicts of Interest declaration processes and the people activities across UK, Centre and Global.
What's a typical day?
You will supportthe management of the annual screening process for existing employees to ensure this delivers candidates/employees who are 'Fit and Proper' to perform their roles. In addition to this you will deliver the people related activities required to ensure Bupa UK is compliant with the PRA/FCA Senior Insurance Manager Regime (SIMR) and the UKVI. You would also ensure all individuals in scope for SIMR are 'fit and proper' in line with PRA/FCA regulations and Bupa's 'Fit and Proper' Policy attestation. Providing SIMR subject matter expertise across all employment lifecycle stages by acting as a central support point for the People Team and supporting the delivery of biannual training for accountable process owners would also form part of the role. You will be driving required action where an individual's eligibility to work has ceased including applying expert knowledge to provide advice to People Managers on 'referrals', suspensions, disciplinary and dismissals. Including complex cases.
Who we're looking for?

* Experience of working with FCA/PRA and the impacts on the end to end People policies/processes.
* Familiar with building effective relationships at executive levels. Experience in managing and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
