This well recognised and exciting Brand are on the lookout for a Commercial Minded Packaging Technologist.

Here's a little bit about the role and what we need from you???
This Commercial Packaging team is a team of 8 in total. Really friendly and fun people, quite quirky individuals.
The clients that you will work with, will involve you dealing with the Middle East and Far East on packaging technology and developments as well as communications with key Stakeholders and being able to brief all parties involved effectively. This can include producing samples, amending and tweaking, refining solutions, ideas and across the full range of packaging materials to deliver solutions within timelines.
If you have exposure with the green technology packaging side this would be a distinct advantage.
This role really needs someone with a solid understanding of packaging technology, who can build and maintain relationships and has the soft skills in order to drive solutions forward and oversee all component parts. The client coudl be flexible on the more technical aspects of packaging in favour of someone who has very strong account management, able to run multi projects, liaise with suppliers, senior Stakeholder and engagement/influencing/decisioning skills.
Key Delivery of the role will include -
Overseeing generally 4-5 but up to 10-12 different projects/pieces of work at any one time
These are across multi product areas as well as multi Stakeholders and will be utilising various suppliers
Project/influencing/relationship/management experience is key above the technical aspects of packaging - decisioning
Liaising with design and print teams
Liaising with suppliers
Providing updates to all parties
Communications and joint portal updates to all parties
Milestone planning and tracking
Industry/trend tracking
Some off-line project management is developing greener solutions, some of this filtering to new supplier options
Ideally you will be an Adobe Illustrator user
We are looking for strong Excel skills (intermediate) for tracking/logging of critical paths.
The ability to make account decisions without 100% of the information, manage deadlines effectively and expectations of delivery timescales.
My client would consider someone with Print and Design account management skills as these can be transferable into the role.
