Are you an experienced Production Supervisor with an automotive background looking for day shifts? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Supervisor to join this world class 1st tier supplier to the automotive industry based near Sutton Coldfield. Salary GBP28-GBP35K, quarterly bonus, 33 days holiday, pension, private healthcare and more! Hours of work are 6am-6pm for 3 days (Tues, Wed & Thurs) for 3 weeks, and 6am-6pm for 4 days (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs) for every fourth week.
As Production Supervisor, your strong people management skills will enable you to lead a team to meet set KPIs and exceed customer expectations.
You will be responsible for planning production, ensuring availability of equipment and components, ensuring staff are working in the correct station depending on their skills, ensure compliance, overcome disruptions to production in a timely manner, collate and submit management information (efficiency, quality, absenteeism, action plans), training and development plans for staff, conduct staff appraisals, and contribute to improvement initiatives.
It is essential that you have experience of working within the automotive industry in a similar role with knowledge of TS16949/IATF16949 and various industry tools including 5Whys, Ishikawa, PDCA and QRQC. As Production Supervisor you will have strong problem solving skills with proven success working towards KPIs and be capable of setting and monitoring these with your team. This role would suit a Shift Supervisor, Shift Team Leader, Cell Leader, Shift Manager, or Production Team Leader.
Ideally you will have experience of plastic processing techniques but this is not essential. You will be self motivated, have good decision making skills, be able to take control of the shop floor and take responsibility for the results of production and quality.
