Maintenance Engineer- Production machinery
This leading engineering company with an enviable reputation for quality, has an opening for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with soem electrical experience to join their team.
Within this mechanically-biased environment, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing all site equipment, and proactively participate in safety improvements, cost reductions and process efficiency initiatives.
You will lead by example ensuring the timely maintenance and repair of equipment ensuring work is carried out in accordance with safety practices.
You will also be responsible for developing an apprentice next year, whilst being hands-on but be technical as well and take a step back and provide more guidance as the Apprentice develops.
This will also include developing and implementing a PPM system covering all site assets and services, and carrying out periodic PPM on plant machinery and equipment.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Maintenance Engineer who can access and apply what is needed with:
* Eexperience in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
* Knowledge of 3-phase motor and control systems.
* Mechanical / electrical fault-finding skills.
* H&S awareness (COSHH, lifting equipment etc).
* Posess a good working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and safe electrical isolation.
* Be able to work alone and as part of a team.
Knowledge of 17th Edition, C&G/HNC level in engineering maintenance desirable, as is first aid training, counter balance fork truck licence and Risk Assessments.
Salary up to late GBP30's package (Dep on rel exp/skills) + O/T+benefits package incl contributory pension, company bonus, training opportunities and on-site parking
