This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced lawyer seeking a rewarding full-time locum assignment at a well-established firm. Taking on an existing caseload, you will also be actively involved in business development with the prospect of real career development.
Responsibilities
- Business development activities including writing articles and blogs, delivering seminar presentations and networking within the local business community
- Landlord and tenant matters
- Sales and purchases of commercial property
- Property development agreements
- Joint ventures
- Residential development schemes
- Property management matters
- Mortgages
- Business leases and lease renewals
The Candidate
- Applications are encouraged from qualified and practising solicitors and legal executives with at least 4 years' PQE in commercial property
- A strong academic record is essential
- With expertise in commercial property, you will already be a specialist in this field
- Ideally, you will have a passion for business development
- With excellent interpersonal skills, you will excel in client care
- Solid drafting and attention to detail skills are required
- Able to demonstrate empathy, you will possess an understanding of clients' needs
- A team player, you will also work well using your own initiative
- With the ability to deal with a large volume of work, you will be able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy
- IT proficiency is essential
