Who will I be working for?
Working across Devon and Cornwall, Havencare is a forward-thinking charity that provides social care services for people with learning disabilities and autism.
Offering supported living and residential care services, we use a range of approaches to empower individuals, help them to be as independent as possible and nurture their potential with dignity and respect.
We're now looking for a Service Manager to join us in Plymouth and ensure that we continue to deliver an outstanding level of service to those we support.

What will I be doing?
As the Service Manager, you will ensure that we deliver a holistic, truly person-centred care service to individuals with learning disabilities.
Specifically, you will:
- Lead, train and motivate your team to perform to the best of their ability
- Plan rotas, carry out appraisals and supervise work
- Work closely with families, external agencies and colleagues
- Identify ways to further enhance the service
- Ensure that any issues are swiftly addressed
- Work as part of a centralised 24-hour emergency on-call rota
What do I need?
- At a minimum, an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Social Care
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to coach and inspire others
- A positive attitude
Ideally, you'll have people management experience, but this isn't essential.
We'd love to hear from you if you've worked as a Social Care Worker, Care Worker, Care Supervisor, Social Care Team Leader, Social Care Supervisor, Care Team Lead, Practice Team Leader, or Healthcare Supervisor.
