Abacus Cards publish a diverse and innovate range of greeting cards, lovingly designed and created by our in-house studio and array of freelance artists, photographers and illustrators. We supply thousands of retailers throughout the UK, via our national team of territory sales managers and, through our overseas distributors, we export around the world.
We are now seeking a full time, studio-based Graphic Designer to join us and help create amazing, emotive greetings cards for a huge range of audiences.

As a Graphic Designer, you’ll be joining our studio and working on both the Abacus Cards and Clare Maddicott Publications brands, producing high quality, creative greetings cards.
In this highly creative position, you’ll be getting involved in a wide range of activities, including product development and art direction, as well as the creation of designs from concept through to the preparation of print ready artwork.
Additionally, you will:
- Prepare and design images for the website
- Design brochures, ads and flyers
- Create sales support literature
- Carry out picture research
- Offer general support across the studio
To be considered as a Graphic Designer, you will need:
- Strong design experience
- Proficient Mac skills
- Excellent knowledge of software programs including Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
- A passion for greeting cards and stationery products
- A full, valid driving licence
A stationery or greetings card background would be beneficial to your application. Illustration experience would also be advantageous.
