My client a large local authority in East London are looking for a Complaints Officer to provide and manage a complex caseload of complaints within the quality team and provide a comprehensive, effective and efficient complaints service to the Property and Asset Management Department. To take responsibility for administering, investigating, drafting responses to complaints, members enquiries and Mayor's enquiries on behalf of the housing department, and ensure the backlog is cleared, and ensuring that complaints are handled professionally and effectively, ensure all information is received within target periods so that resident responses can be issued in a timely manner.

Essential experience:
a) Experience of working in a social housing organisation, ideally in a local authority.

b) Experience of dealing with members of the public in sometimes stressful situations where their expectations cannot always be met.

c) Experience of investigating issues and responding to customers and external organisations through correspondence.
