Clinical Psychologist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Psychologist to provide specialist support to adults with complex and challenging needs with diagnosis of Drug and Alcohol dependency.

You will be joining an established organisation that specialises in clinical and psychosocial treatment of substance misuse and delivers flexible and innovative solutions.

As Clinical Psychologist your role will involve completing complex assessments leading to psychological formulations of distress; integration of complex neuropsychological principles; and forming judgements for provision of interventions, diagnosis and management options. The role will also involve one-to-one clinical work in community clinics, communicating complex information effectively in highly emotive situations and overcome psychological resistances, completing psychological interviews from self report measures, rating scales, structured observations and semi structured interviews, assess individual clients on the psychological aspects of risk assessment and liaise with relevant professionals within the community.

The successful candidate will be registered as a Clinical Psychologist and have previous experience of psychological assessment and treatment of service users with substance misuse and experience of working with a wide variety of client groups presenting problems and clinical severity.

This is a full time position with a salary of £30,000-£40,000 plus excellent training and benefits.
