Summary
We are currently recruiting a training professional to join a rapidly expanding food manufacturer based in Avonmouth, Bristol. The role will be working Monday - Friday office hours achieving a salary of up to GBP28,000.
The Role:
As the Staff Trainer, you will be providing training to a production-based workforce in a busy food manufacturing environment.
Duties will include:
* Ensuring that all Production and Warehouse employees are working to standardised methods and working practices.
* Carrying out hands on training with all operators through the site ensuring employees are signed off to a satisfactory standard.
* Maintaining a skills matrix for staff, identifying key skills and when refresher training is required.
* Supporting production managers with personal development plans for their team members
* Ensuring SOP's are up to date and carry out hands-on training to support the business in developing people.
* Supporting the H&S manager in relation to safe systems of work both procedurally and one to one training.
* Assisting with embedding the grading structure through assessment of employee's skills and behaviours.
* Maintaining SOP's for existing and new equipment
* Supporting Production Managers with regards to staff development.
* Supporting new capital projects with new equipment, identifying training requirements and procedures
The Person:
* Previous experience of training staff / delivering training
* Experience in developing skills matrices, developing training materials & SOPs and following these through to delivery
* Strong health & safety and environmental awareness knowledge
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Competent in use of PC and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
* Flexible, can do attitude approach to work
* Ability to communicate confidently at all levels
* Ability to motivating and drive individuals
