Hygiene Crew Member

We currently have some vacancies within our Hygiene team. The purpose of the role of our Hygiene crew members is to work closely with the Production and Engineering departments to ensure that the factory, all equipment and the outside yard is cleaned to the highest standards and audit ready at all times. This is a role involving practical cleaning.

The hours of work for this role are:

  • Monday to Friday 23.00 pm to 8.00 am (45 hours week)
  • Sunday to Thursday 20.00 pm to 05.00 am (45 hours per week)

Some of the key tasks will include:

  • Ensuring the various lines within production are cleaned to a high standard, following the specific cleaning instructions for that line and within a safe manner. Areas that will need to be cleaned include (but are not limited to): Laminating line, VMI Spiral, Fat Pump, Prover Ovens and MLC.
  • Use of chemicals and knowledge of COSHH
  • Working to BRC standards.
  • Understanding of CIP.
  • Record completed cleaning tasks on daily tasks sheets.
  • Adherence to health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Ensure correct PPE is used and maintained in good condition, reporting any faults to crew leaders.

To be successful in this role we think you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience of working within a food manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with other team members and managers of different departments.
  • Level 2 Food Safety for Manufacturing (will be provided).
  • Attention to detail skills and the ability to spot areas that need cleaning.
