DESCRIPTION
Location: Newark, Nottinghamshire

To work with the appropriate managers/directors to design and implement the annual People Plan for the business area. Providing necessary HR support, coaching and training. To work as part of the team in driving business change to ensure high quality communications are delivered consistently throughout your business area to affect the key people metrics

You will:

•Developing, driving and implementing the people plan for the assigned business unit, including; capability, employee engagement and talent initiatives, in order to support business performance.
•Developing and maintaining trusting and effective partnerships with senior line managers, challenging their thinking and working closely with them to co-develop solutions to meet their current and future business needs
•Collaborating with and influencing the HR Shared Service teams and the specialist HR Centres of Excellence to deliver the business unit people plan and to develop efficient and cost effective solutions to local challenges
•Taking a lead role in the overall HR function to drive collaboration, share best practice and develop cross functional team working
•Leading, monitoring and driving forward business wide talent and succession planning
•Working in partnership with the business unit, analysing trends and key metrics to understand the key performance issues, objectives and drivers, subsequently proactively driving the HR agenda.
•Coaching senior managers to support them in driving performance through the development of themselves and their teams
•Implementation of people annual plan with identification of additional people needs in business area, propose solutions to lead role, team and the business and either deliver or co-ordinate delivery through the central HR teams.
•Proactively collecting current and future training needs through business management, team leaders and colleagues, working with the central teams to ensure the needs are addressed
•Responsible for the people metrics with the business area of support
•Expert on all HR areas, ensuring that the skill levels in the business area are great, continually monitor and up-skill line managers.
You will need:

•Excellent technical HR knowledge through generalist and HRBP experience
•Sound understanding of UK/EU employment law
•Ability to consult, influence, and partner with senior leaders in developing and executing people strategies
•Ability to consult on the application of HR policy and processes
•Ability to facilitate talent development sessions for all levels of the organisation
•Training delivery
•HR legal knowledge/ER experience
•Ability to drive change and demonstrate effective implementation.
•Ability to coach
