An exciting opportunity has arisen to join South West Water as a Waste Water Duty Manager based from Exeter.
[b]The Role[/b]
The Waste Water Duty Manager will provide central decision making and advice & coaching to the Alarm Team and Source Contracts team to ensure effective triage of contacts and alarms received in the SWW Control Centre to ensure the associated assets achieve Company targets, i.e. CHP, Income, Energy, Compliance, HACCP, Odour contacts, Pollutions.
This is a new role to support the formation of a central support, advice and decision making to the WWS delivery teams outside of normal working hours. This includes participation in a rostered out of hours working pattern (inclusive of rostered Annual Leave & Bank Holidays) operating over a 5 week rotation with duty lengths of between 8 - 12 hours and with two weeks non duty in every five.
You will be liaising with Source contact team and have responsibility for WWS customer contact response and resolution processes.
[b]The Ideal Waste Water Duty Manager:[/b]
A key requirement of this role is to have proven experience in the use of company systems to support decision making and jeopardy management processes to ensure effective deployment of resources and escalation of events. The successful candidate will be a methodical and focused team player with the ability to communicate well at all levels within the business, whilst making sound decisions under pressure.
As this is a new role, you will work closely with the WWS management team to evolve the Duty Manager role so the ability to adapt with the role is essential. Previous experience with alarm management, Waste Water processes and the use of current I.S. systems would be an advantage.
