Wiring - Test Technician
Salary - GBP25,000 - GBP28,000
Fulltime - Monday to Friday
Benefits - 25 days hols + bank hols + pension
Well established manufacturing business who supply to clients around the world and who through continued growth and expansion are looking to recruit a wiring - test technician to join the already established and highly successful engineering function based in Portsmouth.
As Wiring Test Technician you will;
* Build and wire control panels, cabinets and sub-assemblies from engineering drawings, schematics and panel diagrams
* Working to strict compliance within specifications, tolerances, and customer orders requirements including crimping, wiring and working with wiring harnesses
* Building, fitting and assembly of control panels working from engineering drawings and schematics to determine assembly plan
* Building fully functional systems from cradle to grave wiring and testing
* Installation, testing, inspection and maintenance of electrical control systems
Qualifications and experience;
* Proven experience within wiring and testing related to panel assembly within a manufacturing environment
* Team player willing to go the extra mile for the business and its clients
* Previous experience using PLC control systems advantageous
* Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and wiring schedules
* Understanding of basic electronic - electrical theory
