Financial Reporting Manager. Our client a superb instantly recognisable business is looking to recruit a Financial Reporting Manager.
Overall Objective: To drive & develop financial management reporting across the various business units.

Job Description

*Management of the Management Accounts team.
*Co-ordinate the work done by the Management Accounts team to produce monthly management accounts including all relevant variance analysis, commentary, KPI's & back up analysis within tight reporting deadlines, for review with the Financial Controller.
*Improve commentary provided for all areas of the business including media and marketing.
*Improve analysis & KPI's produced for relevant areas.
*Distribution of management accounts to budget holders following review with Financial Controller and sign off by Finance Director.
*Liaising with budget holders to ensure their understating of the financial information being distributed to them and understanding their needs in order to adapt or improve the reporting if necessary.
*Develop other reporting packs for various business units.
*Review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
*Ensuring all relevant financial controls are maintained and improved where necessary.
*Responsibility for accounting for and reporting on large capital projects.
*Responsibility for maintaining the integrity of general ledger postings and administering month end including liaising with the Ledger Manager on closing sales & purchase ledgers.
*Understanding the accounting system in detail to enable problem solving and proposing & implementing potential improvements.
*Review of cash flow reporting & forecasts for discussion with Financial Controller.
*Production of ad-hoc reporting as directed by the Financial Controller and Finance Director.
*Provide support and cover for the Financial Controller and other colleagues.


Person Specification

Essential

*ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified.
*Previous experience of a similar role.
*Excellent management skills
*Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
*Friendly, well organised with the ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure.
*Possess strong time management skills and have a flexible approach to work.
*Able to communicate to the highest level, listens, interprets and conveys information in a clear and accurate manner, provides timely delivery of information and selects the most appropriate method of communication.
*Excellent IT skills (including excellent MS Excel).
*Able to work to tight deadlines.

*Knowledge of Access Dimensions accounting system
*Internal / external audit experience
