Architectural Technician

Ideal Modular Homes operate one of the UK's most state-of-the-art modular home factories and are actively recruiting Architectural Technologists to join their growing design team.

The company are one of the UK's most advanced home manufacturer's who are building a reputation of imaginative design and build quality, with a growing portfolio of prestigious clients within the residential sector.

Role

Primarily office based with opportunities to visit sites as and when required. To undertake detail design drawings and fabrication drawings. To ensure up to date information is issued for factory manufacture. Liaise with and take instruction from the Board of Directors and Senior Architect. Ability to work on varied projects simultaneously and provide initial assessments regarding modularisation. To mentor and assist junior members of the Design Team.

The Candidate

Key attributes the company will be looking for include:

• Degree or equivalent in an Architectural discipline
• Minimum 3 years post qualification experience.
• Fully conversant with Building Regulations and ability to implement.
• Proven experience in delivering complete working drawing CAD packages.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A comprehensive understanding of Autodesk Revit is essential along with understanding of BIM standards and procedures.
• Have excellent organisation and management skills.
• An analytical mind with strong problem solving ability.
• Ability to work with other Trade disciplines and External Consultants.

Desirable

• Experience in high rise residential design.
• Experience with forms of construction involving Cross Laminated Timber.
• A working knowledge of NBS Create is desirable but not essential.
• A current and valid CSCS card is desirable but not essential.
