Strengthening our Senior Management Team and collaborating closely with the Chief Finance Officer, you will shape all aspects of our financial and operational management. Providing inspiring leadership to a significant Finance Department, you will give your team the skills to generate accurate and timely financial and management information and ensure that we comply fully with our statutory obligations. In short, you will ensure that we remain in the best possible financial health as you oversee adherence to funding bodies' requirements, prepare tender documents for additional investment, control our cash flow programme, and monitor responses to tax returns and other requests for information.

At the same time, you will refine our financial systems, target investment into IT infrastructure and maintain close relationships with our bankers, whilst proactively exploring opportunities for income generation - so you will have an enormous impact on our bottom line. A qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA), you will be highly experienced in managing finances within a further education college, local authority or complex business environment. This will have given you expert understanding of innovative financial strategies, proven ability to implement robust financial controls and sound knowledge of auditing procedures. Above all, you will be capable of getting the very best from both people and processes - and making your mark on everything we do.
