Data Architect
Data Architect required by a key client of ours in Milton Keynes for an IT Transformation Programme. They have a 3 year plan to radically improve IT services across the business and therefore there is an immediate need for a Data Architect to help with this IT Transformation Programme. Deep experience of operating within medium sized (12,000 staff), but complex organisations as a consultant is key!!
The Data Architect will be required to provide the data domain expertise needed to ensure that data aspects and data related design decisions of the IT transformation programme is understood by stakeholders covering all structured and unstructured data that will be moved, created, amended and/or deleted/purged/decommissioned by the transformation programme. You will be responsible for defining data strategy, data principles and data migration requirements and responsible for designing and implementing a Data Governance capability, that will ensure that appropriate levels of data quality are maintained across the data lifecycle with particular focus on enabling effective and efficient data migration from source to target systems.
As the specialist Data Architect you must possess expert knowledge of data migration (profiling, extraction, cleansing, transformation, translation, import/load, etc), the different approaches and patterns that should be considered when designing a data migration solution and the broad range of technologies used to move, store, manipulate, analyse, and report on structured and unstructured data.
You will be expected to hold expert level understanding of enterprise level data architecture, data management and data governance capabilities (including meta data management, master data management and data lifecycle management) as well as industry data management frameworks such as DMBOK, MIKE 2.0, etc. Experience of Email migration and deep experience of operating within medium sized (12,000 staff), but complex organisations either as a consultant or employee is seen highly advantageous.
