Prospero Teaching work with SEN schools and PRUs across Dorset and South Somerset. We are now seeking to appoint exceptional Teaching Assistants with a range of proven skills and abilities including supporting SEN, who are ambitious, passionate, committed and inspiring who will ensure that all our children have high expectations and believe that learning never stops.
Our client schools often cater for learners with learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder and associated problems such as speech & language and other emotional and behavioural difficulties. (SEMH, PMLD, EYFS, SLD)
We are looking for the following candidates:
• Has Teaching Assistant experience in Primary Schools
• Highly driven with a passion to succeed
• Passionate about Safeguarding
• Comfortable working with children
• Comfortable working children from a variety of races/religions
• Fluent in English
• Excellent Communicator
• Confident working as part of a team
• Able to work Monday - Friday
• Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent)

You will ideally:
* Be a qualified teacher (ideally PGCE, GTP, BEd, Cert Ed, BA with QTS or QTLS)
* Have UK teaching experience or be completely familiar with the UK curriculum.
* Be creative and innovative.
* Have drive and tenacity.
* Encourage students to reach their full potential.
* Excellent classroom management skills
* Positive and creative approach to teaching
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
• Location - Various locations across South Dorset
• Position - Specialist TA
• Type of work - Teaching Assistant - day to day and long term cover in various schools
• Start date - ASAP subject to vetting
• Duration / Likely Duration - Day to day bookings, with the potential for extension depending on schools
• End date (if applicable) - N/A
• Contract type - Temporary
• Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on schools needs
• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate GBP65 per day
• Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm (full day), half day (am or pm) or long half days where available (dependant on school timetable)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Appropriate level of General Education to KS4
• Previous experience working in a UK school
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
