Salary: £36 061 - £41 212 FTE

Exeter Maths School is an Ofsted Outstanding, state funded, 6^th form, jointly sponsored by the University of Exeter and Exeter College. Opened in September 2014, the school is open to students from across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset.  We also work extensively with students and teachers in other schools, inspiring enthusiasts for maths, physics and computing across the region.

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, experienced and dynamic person for this senior position. The School Business Manager is the leading non-teaching member of staff and part of the senior leadership team.  Reporting to the Headteacher, the post-holder manages the non-academic and non-pastoral activities of the school and provides sound information and analysis to the Headteacher and to the School Governors on financial and non-academic management issues. 

Responsibilities include managing the school budget, ensuring financial systems are robust and implemented, preparation of the annual budget and the production of the school’s five year business plans, and managing the administrative and premises team.  The Business Manager maintains a close working relationship with Exeter College and the University of Exeter to ensure that services are coordinated and effective, and is responsible for maintaining a safe working environment.

The successful candidate will have strong credentials and relevant experience.  This post affords an excellent opportunity to work with a small, highly motivated team to establish an outstanding model of 6^th form education, unique to this region.
