Workshop Engineering Manager (HGV)

Days 42.5 hours Monday to Friday
A Workshop Engineering Manager is required for a successful company which has been running for over 30 years. The company have a modern fleet of coaches and provide a high class service. This is a great opportunity for those looking to be an integral part of the company.
The Engineering Manager required will have background in coach/HGV mechanics. An NVQ level 3 is desirable however good knowledge and skills are key. The role will suit those looking to take a step up and manage a department or those with experience of managing a small team. The ability to prioritise and manage workload is important in the role.
The Engineering Manager role will involve various tasks including supporting and motivating staff across the depot in a hands on and office based role (30% task based/70% Office based). The role will also involve dealing with suppliers, ordering new parts and making sure everything is ordered in time. Liaising with the Operations Department in order to schedule servicing and MOT's in accordance with DVSA. The Engineering Manager will also have an eye for continuous improvement to improve efficiency and reduce costs where possible. You will be overseeing and managing a small team of engineers and 1 admin.
