Victoria Education Centre encompasses a day school and two residential settings based in Poole Dorset offering specialised, high quality care and therapy for young disabled people from 3-25 years old. All of our residents / students have physical disabilities or complex medical conditions and many have additional needs including communication difficulties, learning difficulties and sensory impairments.
Right now, we're looking for a Night Support Worker that shares our passion, values and dedication to join us at Victoria Education Centre in Poole, Dorset. We currently have the following shifts available:-
Post 1
21 hours per week - working Wednesdays and Thursdays each week
Post 2
15.75 hours per week - working Wednesdays week 1 and Monday and Thursday week 2
* To provide the highest standards of professional day to day support and create an environment that will enable residents to have the best possible quality of life and live as independently as possible
* To communicate with residents using their preferred means of communication encouraging them to voice their own choices, needs and options freely
* To respond to the needs of each individual within the specified person-centred plans, so that they are able to make informed choices whilst maintaining their safety
Role Requirements
* NVQ or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent - or willingness to commence within 12 months of appointment.
* Good standard of English both verbal and written
* Good standard of Maths
* Able to complete the Induction programme with 6 months' probation period
* Evidence of continued professional and personal development
