Victoria Education Centre encompasses a day school and two residential settings based in Poole Dorset offering specialised, high quality care and therapy for young disabled people from 3-25 years old. All of our residents / students have physical disabilities or complex medical conditions and many have additional needs including communication difficulties, learning difficulties and sensory impairments.

Our Children's Home within Victoria Education Centre, provides a residential home for up to 16 young people aged between 5 - 19. We cater for a wide range of needs (including complex medical needs) offering a 24 hours service and flexible placements including respite.

We strive to ensure that we go that extra mile, ensuring that our young people have fun and enjoy life to the maximum whilst being supported by our committed and compassionate team. You will be working a two week rolling rota, enabling you to enjoy alternative weekends off. Role Requirements

The Residential Team Leader is expected to carry out the professional duties of a care worker. To be accountable to the Registered Manager for ensuring that the Children's Home provides a high level of care and a programme of personal and social development to meet the needs of all the young people. Take into account the young people's abilities, physical difficulties, social needs, behaviour and cultural background to ensure they reach their maximum potential.

a) Maintain a high standard of residential group living.

b) Jointly responsible for the residents/young people.

c) Assist in the management of the team of staff working within the home.

d) Be a key member of the management team
