Skilled Sheet Metal Worker

This small, family run sheet metal fabrication company is seeking an experienced, skilled, apprenticeship-trained Sheet Metal Worker.

Experience in fabricating flat sheet metal and steel sections, and skills in TIG, MIG and MMA welding are essential.

Knowledge, understanding of, and the ability to read engineering drawings (CAD) is a must.

You must be able to work as part of a team, as well as being capable of working on your own and using your own initiative.

You will be based at their workshop in Pickering, as well as carrying out site work in various locations, including occasionally working away from home.

They offer a standard 40 hour week plus overtime, with 5 weeks paid Annual Leave and company pension scheme. Hours worked are usually Monday to Friday but may occasionally include weekends.

Work uniform, overalls, safety footwear and appropriate P. are provided.

An initial 3month trial period is required prior to a full time position being offered.

Hourly rate of £12 - £14, dependant on experience, with enhanced pay available for working Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Essential Criteria:
- Minimum 3 years experience in fabricating and welding in both flat sheet and steel section.
- Minimum 3 years experience in Apprenticeship-trained Welding, TIG, MIG and MMA.
- Full and valid Driving License.

Desired Criteria:-
- GCSE (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
- City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Sheet Metal Work.
- IPAF, FLT, CSCS Card and welding codes.
