We have a strong order book following major wins this year and are looking to expand the team.
As a Software Developer, you will be working with cutting-edge technology, large scale industrial automation projects.
You will be working with a team responsible for developing software solutions, that meet the needs of their customers, working within a continual improvement lifecycle you will also be developing improvements and additional services for existing customers.
You will participate in providing support to their customers, identifying problems and determining appropriate solutions; you will support the helpdesk Team Leader with root cause analysis of faults.
Your key tasks will include
- Understand business requirements and how to translate these into a workable solution which can be coded effectively.
- Create software solutions based on company software framework(s).
- Built and implement unit tests as part of the development team.
- Support the Test Manager with the execution of functional, regression and integration testing.
- Work closely with our help-desk ticketing system to track, monitor and resolve issues.
To be successful in your application you will need:
- BSc or HND/HNC in Computer Science, IT engineering or equivalent
- Previous experience working within software development
- Experience with Java, C# or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience with Eclipse or similar IDE
- Experience of hibernate, junit,SQL, JMS and HTML
- Experience with relational databases
Travel to existing and potential new build and/or existing resident maintenance sites will be required as well as some nights away from home especially during periods where they are ramping up a new site; principally the role will be office based.
