Maintenance Engineer required for an innovative plastic manufacturing company who can offer an excellent opportunity to join a small, but growing company and provide a very competitive salary.

The Maintenance Engineer role will suit candidates from ANY manufacturing/FMCG background, ideally you will have blow moulding experience, but candidates with experience with other plastic production machinery are encouraged to apply. You will need to be confident training operatives and technicians to carry out PPM work and 1st line maintenance on the machines. The company are working to achieve ISO 9001 and BRC accreditation, so experience with those standards is beneficial, however not essential.

The Maintenance Engineer role will involve mechanical and electrical maintenance of up to 12 injection and blow moulding machines. You will carry out PPM and reactive maintenance of the machines, change moulds/tools, ensuring all documentation is accurately completed, ensure the shop floor is working to the required regulations and control stock within the department.

This is a senior role within the company, although you won't have any direct reports you will assume a mentoring/senior position to advise operatives and technicians. You will be the only fully qualified engineer on site, so you will need to be happy working as the sole engineer. You will report directly to the MD day to day and liaise with the sister company based in Europe.

The Role:

* Electrical and Mechanical maintenance of production machinery (injection and blow moulding)
* Documentation and quality checks of process and maintenance
* Mentoring operatives and technicians, to ensure they can carry out PPM on shift

The Candidate:

* Maintenance experience with ANY plastic manufacturing machinery
* Confident operating as the sole engineer on site and training operatives
* Confident to complete documentation and work towards ISO 9001 and BRC accreditation
