A challenging and exciting opportunity has arisen in a Local Authority in North Devon! They are looking for a Temporary Accommodation (TA) Manager on a temporary 9-month contract. You will be managing 5 staff in total over a patch of 30 households.
You will be managing TA Officers who are responsible for:
* Placing Homeless households in temporary accommodation (TA)
* Managing rent accounts for all the temporary accommodation properties within your patch
* Minimising low to high level arrears
* All aspects of temporary accommodation including sign ups, securing a safe environment and sign posting tenants
* You will also deal with maintaining Health and Safety Standards and making sure repairs are being carried out
* Notice to Quit
* Part 7
Therefore, ideally you will have:
* Proven experience working as a TA, Housing Options or Housing Needs Officer/Manager
* Management experience
* Experience working within a B&B team, Private Sector Leased properties or the housing register
* Worked with TA client groups
* Clear knowledge and understanding of housing law and legislation
The current post holder will be there for a little while to train you in areas you are unsure of within the organisation. However, the person appointed will have experience with this role already.
The pay rate is GBP18.00-GBP20.00ph Umbrella and it is preferable that you have an up to date DBS and a current drivers licence with your own transport.
My client is hoping to conduct telephone interviews this week Friday or the week commencing 29th Oct 2018 with a start day hopefully sometime around 5th or 12th Nov 2018.
