Job Description
Highly motivated and driven Business Development Manager with a proven track record within Engineering / Technical / Construction Industry. Any experience of lifting equipment or Cargo Shipping would be a distinct advantage. The ideal candidate will be open to EU travel and reside within a 2 hour commute of Oxfordshire.
The role of Business Development Manager (Lifting Equipment)
- Develop and pursue leads within the Lifting Equipment, Cargo Handling, Shipping sector.
- Gain and maintain intelligence of the UK market with particular emphasis on the factors affecting your sector
- Promote Sales in Ireland and the EU
- Frequent, UK, Ireland and Europe. World Wide as and when required.
- Pricing of products and services in line with Company Policy.
- Maximise sales and service orders via secondary selling e.g. sale of spare parts and components.
- Report business activities in accordance with current methods.
- Respond in a timely manner to enquiries and orders (internal and external) to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Liaison with relevant internal departments to assist regional effectiveness and profitability.
The ideal candidate for the role of Business Development Manager (Lifting Equipment)
- Will reside within a 2-hour commute of Oxfordshire
- Experience within the Lifting Equipment, Cargo Handling, Shipping sectors would be advantageous but not essential
- Will be a driven and outgoing Sales professional with the capability to manage high value accounts and sales up to GBPmulti million
- Will ideally hold a Certificate/Diploma in an appropriate Engineering or Business discipline.
- Will have Technical / Engineering and application knowledge of all relevant products
- Will have substantial experience and proven track record in the business development arena of B2B sales of capital and contractual goods and services.
- Will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with High attention to detail both verbal and written.
- Will be IT literate
