Systems Accountant

Our Client is the leading provider of inflight services to the world’s airline customers. They offer a comprehensive range of Inflight Catering, Onboard Retail and Logistics services across all of the UK’s major and regional airports.

They are now looking for a Systems Accountant to join them in this brand new role within the Finance team. Due to development and change, this is an exciting time to join them!

Within the role you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing all operational and financial systems. Reviewing current systems with a view to improving the utilisation of existing functionality and proposing additional functionality where required, you will liaise with key stakeholders to ensure all systems are fit for purpose. Improving the automation of financial processes which increase efficiency, you will document systems, processes and procedures whilst providing training and technical support to the finance team.

We are looking for someone who has a professional accounting qualification, coupled with extensive experience in a similar role. With a strong understanding of financial processes and controls, and advanced Excel skills, you will have experience of proactively examining processes and seeking ways to improve, automate or otherwise extract efficiencies.

SAP experience is preferred but is not essential. What is important is that you have strong management accounting and analytical skills, and are able to work to tight deadlines. Experience in MIS implementation is also preferred.
