Trainee Account Executive (Commercial Insurance)

This is an excellent role for an ambitious individual looking to move towards an account executive position. You are probably currently in a either a commercial broker / account handler role or perhaps a commercial underwriting position but keen to move towards a client facing role. This could be the ideal opportunity to drive your career forward.

This will be a dual role with both new business development / sales responsibility as well as a requirement to service existing clients.

You will be provided full support from a team of brokers and admin support which will allow you the time and freedom to focus on generating new clients via sales calls, marketing, networking events, using existing data, client referrals and any other methods you see fit to use. Any clients you secure will be added to your portfolio.

You will initially be given a low target and will be provided with great training, mainly on the job including attending client meetings with the existing account executives.

As you settle in, it's very likely that you start to inherit existing clients to add to your book which it will be your responsibility to service.

Applicants need to have a good all round knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance, smart, professional and have strong communication skills. Some progress towards CII qualifications would be preferred.
