An opportunity has arisen within our client's Prevention & Protection section for a Term Time Community Safety Education Delivery Officer, based in Rotherham.

Contract: Permanent
Salary: Grade 3 (£17,681 – £18,672) pro rata £10,435 per year + paid leave at £9.16 per hour
Hours: Part-time (30 hours) Fixed Hours: 9.00 – 3.30, lunch is 11.50 – 12.20. (30 hours per week)​
Work Pattern: Required for 38 weeks per year Monday to Friday (Typically 2nd week in September to 2nd week in July)
Location: Hellaby, Rotherham

The overall purpose of the role will be to assist in the delivery of our client’s Community Safety Strategy, through their Crucial Crew programme.

To be considered for this role you will have previous experience of Customer Care, awareness of the promotion of a safer community via Community Education and intervention, experience of delivering presentations to adults and children, basic administration skills, experience of dealing with members of the public face to face, ability to work as part of a team, working with public sector/public agencies, effective communication skills at all levels.

The key duties will be to deliver Crucial Crew education scenarios as detailed in the lesson plans. To carry out Fire Risk Assessments and support other members of the Community Safety Team when not delivering Crucial Crew. To deliver other interventions, depending on bookings and requests. To carry out administration work associated with Community Safety function including maintenance of computerised and manual records, preparation of the set and classrooms for Crucial Crew and Lifewise events.
