Resident Engagement Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Resident Engagement Officer based in a Housing Association in Wembley.

Post: Resident Engagement Officer

Rate: Circa GBP30,000 - GBP31,000 per annum

We are looking for an experienced Resident Engagement Officer to stimulate, organise and deliver resident involvement with an emphasis on co-regulation and continuous improvement across the organisation, facilitating and delivering requirement of the Community Development Act.

The main duties of the role are as followings;

* Recruit, support, develop and monitor our involvement groups, ensuring they deliver within their terms of reference.
* Embed resident involvement across the organisation and provide support and advice to staff to help them successfully deliver on their resident involvement role, whilst ensuring the organisation is compliant around regulation involving resident involvement.
* Coordinate the effective and efficient delivery of the Resident Engagement Strategy and framework with a focus on continuous improvement across the organisation.
* Identify and secure funds from available funding streams to finance our community development activity.
* Work with other local partners to facilitate and deliver community development projects, in addition to arranging and facilitating consultation and focus groups.
* Provide advice and assistance to resident groups/associations on matters of administration, financial management, publicity and research assisting with the organisation of specific events.

Requirements

* Previous social housing experience.
* Knowledge of community engagement techniques and best practice.
* Enhanced DBS is required.
* Experience of building relationships to maintain business need, applying planned discussion and bargaining to achieve the desired effect
