When it comes to Payroll, "it'll do" will never do.

If you ask our people what they like about working at William Hill, you'll get all sorts of weird and wonderful answers. But if we're honest, one of the best things about any job is getting paid the right money on the right day of the month. So for most of us, it's a big deal if our pay doesn't look right.

To keep things running smoothly, we need an experienced Deputy Payroll Manager to join our brand new team in Leeds City Centre. This is a great time for you to establish yourself in our new HR Shared Service. We're launching a new HR / Payroll system called SAP SuccessFactors next April, and you'll be involved in the final stages of the implementation project ready for go-live at the beginning of the 2019/20 tax year.

With around 15,000 employees in our UK shops and offices, our payroll is complex and can be challenging. You'll look after a small team of Technical Payroll Assistants who administer all aspects of pay. They'll need a strong leader who can help them adapt to change and raise the profile of the Payroll function throughout the business.

You'll lead and motivate your team to give a great service to their colleagues. At times, the pace of work can be pretty frenetic, so your ability to help them focus and produce great work under pressure will help you all achieve your goals. You'll also help the Payroll Manager deliver strategy, and will have the opportunity to step up and be involved with senior stakeholders.

We'd like you to bring us experience of managing a technical payroll team in a fast paced, high volume business. You'll be an expert in statutory and compliance elements of payroll ideally working with a Time and Attendance system. If you've got experience using SAP or any other Cloud based Payroll system it'll be an advantage.

Here you'll find a friendly, supportive culture and colleagues who'll help you learn about our business. Our Leeds City Centre office has great public transport links plus shops and places to socialise on your doorstep. Our benefits include 25 days holiday plus a day for your birthday, pension and the chance to grow your career in an international company.

We all work hard but like to have fun, and we'd love you to be involved. We're all in this together, and we're looking forward to welcoming our new Deputy Payroll Manager into the team.
